Edible Oils

Mem Tech is actively involved in the vegetable oils market. We currently supply both refined and crude vegetable oils from palm, soya, sunflower and corn.

Soybean Oil

Soybean oil is produced from soybeans by mechanical or solvent extraction. Crude soybean oil is further filtered or refined to produce salad and cooking oils. In the U.S., most of what is sold as “vegetable oil” in the stores is really pure soybean oil. In other countries, it is often labeled as soybean oil, or soya oil. It is the primary oil used in the food processing industry and is found in vegetable oil shortenings and margarine.

Palm Oil

Palm oil is an important and versatile vegetable oil which is used as a raw material for both food and non-food industries. Obtained from the fruit (both the flesh and the kernel) of the oil palm tree, it contributes to the economic development of the producing countries and to the diets of millions of people around the world. In fact palm oil can be found in a huge percentage of everyday supermarket products.

Sunflower Oil

The sunflower is a distinctive, flowering plant (Helianthus annuus L), the seeds of which contain a valuable edible oil that contains more Vitamin E than any other vegetable oil. Most sunflower oil is used in food products. The seeds of confection varieties of sunflower are also sold for human consumption and birdseed. Sunflower oil meets the needs of consumer and food manufacturers alike for a healthy and high performance non-transgenic vegetable oil.

Mem Tech chemical goods team recognized the potential of fertilizers as a new growth segment for our Agri-Inputs business over 10 years ago when an acknowledged mismatch between limited new available arable land and the growing demand for agricultural produce to meet increasing globalization needs became clearly apparent.

Mem Tech is an active partner in the dairy market, with over 15 years of supply experience. We buy directly from dairies and cooperatives around the world and confidently provide for customers’ needs using our well-developed global supply chain.

Instant Nonfat Dry Milk

Nonfat dry milk powder that is produced in a manner to improve its solubility characteristics. INDM is also fortified with vitamins A and D.

Buttermilk Product

Dry milk powder that is created from churned, pasteurized and condensed butter. DBMP has a protein concentrate of less than 30%. It contains no added preservatives or other chemicals.

Halal Milk Powder

This is the fastest growing segment in dairy supply, and we are proud to represent in this field some of the most reputable Halal-certified dairy producers globally.

Rice

Mem Tech offers a wide variety of rice types from all over the globe. The largest market is in milled white rice, often also referred to as “polished”. The outer husk is removed, and the layers of bran are milled until the grain is white.

We also supply organic, aromatic and brown rice for our customers’ needs.
